 Doctors bragging

*British doctor says, "Medicine in my country is so

advanced that we can take a kidney out of one man, put

it in another man, and have him looking for work in

six weeks."

German doctor says: "That's nothing, we can take a

lung out of one person, put it in another man, and

have him looking for work in four weeks."

A Russian doctor says: "In my country medicine is so

advanced, we can take half a heart out of one person,

put it in another man, and have both of them looking

for work in two weeks."

The American doctor, not to be outdone, says: "You

guys are way behind,we just took a man with no brain

out of Texas , put him in the White House, and now

half of the country is looking for work!"

Greeks return to Didim

Greeks return to Didim

Wednesday, April 11, 2007
İZMİR – Turkish Daily News

  Some Greeks, who migrated from Didim to Greece during the population exchange early 1900, will visit the land of their forefathers. According to written statement by Didim Mayor Bumin Kamacı, whose ancestors migrated from Greece to Didim, said that a group of 60 Greeks made up of artists, politicians would visit Didim on April 18.

  Kamacı, who is also General Secretary of the Aegean Peace and Communications Association, which was established last year in Didim to improve relations between Turkey and Greece, said that a group of Turkish people had visited the Greek cities of Kavala and Selanik, where their ancestors had come from. "Good relationships were established during the Turks visit with the children and grandchildren of the Greeks who lived here before migrating," said Kamacı, adding that the Greeks would reciprocate by coming to Didim on April 18. For the Greek visitors, the association will organize a variety of activities. Kamacı said that artists and politicians would be among the Greek's 60-member group: "Dances will be preformed and accompanied by both Turkish and Greek songs, while different speeches will be made during the 3-day visit. This visit will improve the brotherly relationship between Turks and Greeks. Also, we hope the 'fire of peace' we will burn in Didim will rise from the Aegean and spread throughout the entire world."

The Year of Creation, 5508, and the Golden Section

The Year of Creation, 5508, and the Golden Section

In 46 B.C. the supreme Priest Julius Caesar by his decision carried out calendar reform. Introduced by Caesar, the calendar is still called Julian, though its elaboration was made by a group of Alexandria astronomers at the head of Sosigenes. The year with the length of 365.25 days was made the basis of the new calendar. Three Julian years out of every four have 365 days each (non leap years) and one — 366 days (leap year). Caesar decided to start counting of days of the new calendar from the New Moon, happened on Januarius 1, 45 B.C., thus moving the beginning of the year from Martius 1. The first year of the Julian calendar was a leap year.

In gratitude for the calendar reform and taking into account outstanding merits in the state and military spheres, the Senate decided to rename the month of Quintilis, when Caesar was born, into the month of Julius. Julian calendar is the solar calendar. Its basic is the tropical year, and its months are in no way coordinated with the Moon. But the length of the year of 365.25 days, which is its basis, does not coincide with the length of the tropical year of 365.242 days, and there is no mechanism in the calendar's algorithm to correct this inaccuracy. As a result, every 128 years and 68 days one more divergence of one day is added, and the Julian year does not coincide more and more with the tropical year.

In Byzantine Julian calendar was used, and the counting was conducted from  the 5508 BC which was the Year of Creation as adopted in the 7th Century at Constantinople by the Eastern Orthodox Church.This creation of the world and the beginning of Being took place in the spring period, in the month of March, 5508 B.C. On Friday, the sixth day of creation at noon, man was created.

"The month of March (of holy martyr St.Eudokia), the day having 12 hours and the night having 12 hours. This is the first month among months, for therein was created this visible world of the beginning of Being, and Adam - the first man from God - was created and all creatures for his sake; and introduced to Heaven and, for transgression, banished. In this same month, God, without leaving His Majestic throne, descended from heaven to His love of man, as rain onto fleece, by Archangel's annunciation in the Pure womb of Holy Virgin Mary through the Holy Ghost incarnated unfathomably, only He knows how. On this day, by voluntary passion of His flesh and by His death, He overcame death and by His radiant Lifegiving Resurrection was Adam and the whole Humankind from hell delivered and to the original state restored, so as to inherit heaven. For this reason, from its first day begin all circles of the sun and moon, and the leap-year, and the equinox are established thereby, etc."

The Year of Creation, 5508,  is related to the Golden Section, Phi

The Significance of the number 108:

A conditional geometrical property of 108 is dependent on the conventional division of the circle into 360°.  This division is arithmetically very practical, it also alludes to the division of the year in ca. 365 days, it is now universally accepted, yet it is contingent and essentially only the result of a human convention.  In that case, the angle of 108° has a unique property: the ratio between the straight line uniting two points at 108° from each other on a circle's circumference (in effect one of the sides of a 10-pointed star) and the radius of that circle equals the Golden Section.  Likewise, the inside of every angle of a pentagon measures 108°, and the pentagon is a veritable embodiment of the Golden Section, e.g. the ratio between a side of the 5-pointed star and a side of the pentagon is the Golden Section. So, the Golden Section is a meaningful symbol in the cosmological, aesthetical and ethical realms.  And somewhere in a corner of Golden Section lore, in the pentagon and decagon, we see the number 108 participating.  This is meritorious though perhaps a bit too indirect to count as sensational.

There are 54 letters in the Sanskrit alphabet. Each has masculine and feminine, shiva and shakti. 54 times 2 is 108.

On the Sri Yantra there are marmas where three lines intersect, and there are 54 such intersections. Each intersections has masculine and feminine, shiva and shakti qualities. 54 x 2 equals 108. Thus, there are 108 points that define the Sri Yantra as well as the human body.

In astrology, there are 12 houses and 9 planets. 12 times 9 equals 108. There are 12 constellations, and 9 arc segments called namshas or chandrakalas. 9 times 12 equals 108. Chandra is moon, and kalas are the divisions within a whole.

The diameter of the sun is 108 times the diameter of the Earth.

108=62  + 62  + 62

 The Number 666 is related to Phi:

 Revelations 13:18, speaking of the Anti-Christ, says the following:

"This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is a man's number. His number is 666."

See,

666 = 28 * 23 + 22

 Each person has 46 chromasomes, in pairs of 2, with 23 from each parent. So there are really 23 distinct chromasomes, and each body cell effectively has 2 different copies of the DNA code, half from each parent. Each chromasome is distinct and whole. They are ordered, and have clear start and end sequences. In a sense, they are like a file of computer code. The 23 distinct chromasomes are known and named and have a common structure for each human. The first 22 chromasomes are just named in numbers, simply chromasome 1 through chromasome 22. The name for one of these 22 chromasomes is an "autosome". The 23rd chromasome is the sex chromasome, which is called either "X" or "Y". Every person has a pair of sex chromasomes, one from each parent. However, unlike the other 22 pairs of chromasomes, a human does not necessarily have 2 similar chromasomes. A male person has a pair of different chromasomes, an X and a Y chromasome, and is usually written as XY. A female has two X chromasomes and is called XX. An element is a basic chemical unit. Elements have an atomic number and atomic weight assigned to them. There are 92 natural elements, plus some that have been artificially created. Popular belief for the menstrual cycle length is a 28-day cycle.

This beast, the Anti-Christ, is thus related to the number 666, one of the greatest mysteries of the Bible.

»Ἀραβιανόν, σκολιώτατον γένος Εβραίων, έγνως την ἀνέγερσιν του ναοῦ· δια τί κατέκρινας τον Χριστόν;

Lambs to slaughter

Stockbreeders in northern Greece called off their blockade of slaughterhouses on Saturday night but are due to meet today to decide whether to take further action in their dispute with merchants over the price of lamb. Merchants have refused to offer more than 6 euros per kilo despite farmers' demands for 8 euros per kilo for the animals' meat. Stockbreeders had blocked access to slaughterhouses in Thessaloniki, Halkidiki, Drama, Eleftheroupolis and Kavala in an effort to force merchants to negotiate as the demand for lamb increases over the Easter period.
